Substitute for nestle choco bake pre-melted packet

Did you ever want to make a recipe and you had everything on hand except for that packet of choco bake?  Well don't despair for I have the easiest solution for you.... Simply combine 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder with 1 tablespoon of oil or shortening and voila you have the same stuff!

Happy baking...

Candy Bar Wrapper

Here is a sample of the candy bar wrapper I made for a 10th birthday for 2 children that were having a combined birthday hence the "double birthday, double digits, double the fun" slogan that was used.  The wrapper will cover a 1.55 oz standard Hershey's bar.

I have not learned how to insert a template into this blog yet so I will just give you the instructions:

In Microsoft word, create a blank document and make the page landscape oriented.  Next, just create 2 boxes, from the insert shapes tab, that are 6" Tall x 5.25" wide.  Next, insert  a text box 2" down from the top and type whatever text you want into the box.  Format as you wish - think about different font styles and sizes.  Finally, add any images you want.  To save on ink, I chose to use colored paper as the background and used only black fonts.

The Perfect Hard-Cooked Egg

Do you hate to peel hard-cooked eggs because the shells stick?  Then I have an EGGstraordinary solution for you!

Use your steamer (I have a multi-level Sunbeam veggie/rice) to steam the eggs for 25 minutes then plunge into a bowl of ice water immediately when they are done.  You will always have the easiest eggs to peel - no kidding!
